    Overview

    The Captain’s Club Hotel and Spa is recruiting for a flexible, enthusiastic and experienced Bartender/mixologist to join our bar team in the Club area of the hotel.

    You need to be able to work either alone and as part of a team, shifts pattern including weekends and evenings. With fantastic customer service skills and a good food and wine knowledge, the successful candidate will be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers’ needs and expectations.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
    • Interact with customers
    • Take orders and serve snacks and drinks
    • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
    • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
    • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
    • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
    • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
    • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

    Requirements

    • 1+ years of experience as a bartender
    • Essential Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
    • Excellent English knowledge
    • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
    • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean

  • Maintenance

    We are always offering exciting opportunities to join our fantastic team.

    At the Captains Club Hotel Christchurch Dorset an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our maintenance team. The Captains Club Hotel has a 4* star rating and a restaurant with 2 AA rosettes, we are looking for experienced individuals who have been in the maintenance industry.

    This role is part maintenance and part painter decorator. You will ensure maintenance and repairs of all facilities of the Captains Club Hotel with a confirmed knowledge and experience on plumbing, electricity and you will regularly paint rooms and hotel facilities with skill and attention to detail .

    Duties:

    • To repair and maintain facilities and equipment effectively and to paint hotel bedrooms and facilities
    • To carry out (PPM) Planned Preventative Maintenance for all areas of the Hotel as laid down in procedures.
    • To replace fixtures, fittings and general appliances for hotel guest and crew, ensuring minimum inconvenience.
    • To keep an up to date log of all work done and report daily to the Maintenance Manager.
    • To test, monitor and log the emergency services such as standby emergency generator, fire alarm, emergency lighting (including battery supply) and sprinkler system (as per fire and safety procedure).
    • To ensure that the workshop area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
    • To contribute to the Health and Safety committee.
    • To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required.

    This role would suit an individual with confirmed knowledge and experience in Maintenance and Painting Decorating, with very good customer service. Must be able-bodied as this job is physically demanding.

    Food & Beverage Services Manager

    • Publicize the restaurant by designing and placing advertisements
    • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
    • Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service.

    Requirements

    • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
    • Proven customer service experience as a manager
    • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
    • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
