  • Spa Assistant Manager

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Position:                           Assistant Spa Manager

    Department:                     Spa

    Reporting to:                    Spa Manager

    Direct Reports:                 Spa Staff

    Responsible for:               Continuation of high standards of service and treatments in the spa department. Assisting Spa Manager in all duties carried out to                                                        ensure the smooth running of the department.

    Requirements for Role:

    NVQ Level 3 / above or equivalent therapist qualification required.  Strong presentation and communication skills and good working knowledge of excel, word, outlook and power point.

    Objectives:

    • Maintain spa standards including ordering, stocktake, rota management, in house offers and any other appropriate tasks your line manager presents.
    • Assist in planning and delivery of staff training
    • Manage the department fully in absence of the Spa Manager.

     

    Main Responsibilities:

     Spa Development and Maintaining standards

    • Develop new spa treatments, packages and special offers with the support of the Spa Manager
    • Ensure treatments/packages are marketable, profitable and manageable.

    Training

    • Support Heads of Department in development of specific department training
    • Agree all spa staff training requirements with Spa Manager
    • Ensure Inter-departmental training with reservations and other teams

    Spa Standards

    • Ensure a high standard of training in both treatments and customer service
    • Ensure refresher training carried out with all staff where required
    • Carry out treatments for clients to the expected standard where required

    Other

    • Complete promotional material for events as required
    • Assist Spa Manager in organisation of all spa promotional events and events attending by CCH Hotel & Spa.

    Development of CCH Spa Team

    • Ensure sickness is managed appropriately
    • Help train all spa staff to the agreed standard and ensure training is appropriate and effectively planned for departments responsible
    • Assist in periodically inspecting spa staff performance and carry out coaching where improvements are required

    Administration & General Spa Management Duties

    • Follow policies and procedures within spa
    • Ensuring spa resources are available and appropriate
    • Carry out Spa Duty Manager shifts as required and be flexible with working hours.
    • Assisting Spa Manager in overseeing monthly stock takes and ongoing stock control measures
    • Assisting Spa Manager in all administrative spa duties where necessary

    Health and Safety

    • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified
    • Be fully conversant with all departmental fire and emergency procedures
    • Ensure that all staff within the department work in a manner, unlikely to give risk of harm or injury to themselves or others
    • Encourage awareness of health and safety in relation to all tasks
    • Ensure that staff work with the highest levels of hygiene and sterilization
    • Ensure that all staff maintain the highest levels of personal hygiene
    • To ensure all Health and Safety training is carried out with new therapists
    • Ensure all therapists receive injury prevention training on induction

    To be fully conversant with:

    • CCH fire procedures
    • CCH security procedures
    • CCH Health and safety policy and procedures
    • CCH facilities
    • CCH standards of operation and department procedures
    • All methods of payment accepted by CCH

  • Club Restaurant Supervisor

    A well established, 29 bedroom, 4* boutique hotel with fantastic surroundings, situated right beside the River Stour and is a very popular venue for both corporate and leisure clients.

    The role:

    Ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant alongside our management team providing an excellent standard of service to all customers.   • Kitchen Porter

    The Captain's Club Hotel in Christchurch is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their kitchen porters team on a full time basis.

    As a kitchen porter you will help to keep the kitchen running smoothly by making sure everything is clean, tidy, safe and hygienic.

    Your duties will include:

    - unloading deliveries of food to the kitchen
    - organising the storeroom
    - collecting and washing pots, pans, plates and cutlery
    - getting pots, pans plates and cutlery back into use as quickly as possible
    - washing and disinfecting kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
    - making sure kitchen equipment is properly stored
    - removing and recycling waste from the kitchen
    - Follow daily cleaning schedule
