  • Accounts Assistant - Full Time

    Job Description

    Undertake daily banking reconciliation for the hotel & investigate any anomalies. Deliver money to the bank in a timely manner. Ensure that Reception team have enough change for daily requirements & where possible provide from Accounts department or where not collect change from bank.

    Preferably on a daily basis, or as often as possible, all food and beverage related invoices should be entered on to the relevant food or beverage flash along with the daily sales figures. These should be monitored and sent out to the relevant personnel on a weekly basis, highlighting any issues.

    Orchestrate the giving out of Purchase Orders to control hotel spending & ensure return in a timely manner for invoices to be signed off.

    Control & give out Petty cash for ad-hoc purchases as required by the hotel. Do the same for crew car parking.

    All food and beverage related invoices should be entered into the accounting software package (Xero) and reconciled at the end of each month ready for payment. Process payments on accounting software when advised to do so by Finance Manager and send out remittance advices as required.

    Input all invoices for rest of the hotel & give to relevant department managers for signing off, prior to highlighting any suppliers with outstanding balances to Finance Manager for payments to be made.

    Liaise with relevant personnel each month regarding stocktakes for all Bar, Wine & Food areas. Input all information to Excel spreadsheets & prepare information ready for management accounts.

    Prepare costings for new menus as necessary. Monitor supplier prices and inform management of any necessary requirements needed for sale prices to maintain set gross profit margins.

    Negotiate new & existing contracts with suppliers for F&B, ensuring that any cost increases are either negated, absorbed or passed on to the guests where relevant. Negotiate hotel contracts as a whole.

    Liaise with relevant personnel in regard to new suppliers, supplier issues etc.

    Monitor prices of local competitors along with any special offers being offered in the area.

    Ensure adequate archiving of relevant personal documents & when required by Accountant, obtain relevant invoices from archive.

    Order stationary & till rolls on a monthly basis as needed for the hotel.

    Ensure all First Aid boxes are stocked up as required. Order & replace these as necessary.

    Ensure main printer & individual printers throughout the hotel work as required

    Essential:

    • Accounting qualifications preferred but not essential.

    Spa Therapist Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide consistent professional treatments compliant with spa protocols and accepted documentation practices

    • Uphold the standards of hygiene and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures

    • Possess the aptitude to work with no direct supervision

    • Maintain a constructive attitude and add toward a quality work environment

    • Perform prep work, correctly clean and restock room as necessary

    • Actively support the spa, treatments, services and retail, in addition to programs, promotions and/or discounts obtainable

    • Be supple with schedule, at the bottom of the needs of the spa

    Required Skills

    The Captains Club Hotel and Spa is recruiting for a flexible, enthusiastic and experienced Bartender/mixologist to join our bar team in the Club area of the hotel.

    With fantastic customer service skills and good food and wine knowledge, the successful candidate will be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers’ needs and expectations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
    • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
    • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
    • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
    • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
