VACANCY: FULL TIME RECEPTIONIST

Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dealing with bookings by phone, e-mail, letter, fax or face-to-face
  • Completing procedures when guests arrive and leave
  • Choosing rooms and handing out keys
  • Preparing bills and taking payments
  • Taking and passing on messages to guests
  • Dealing with special requests from guests (like booking theatre tickets or storing valuable items)
  • Answering questions about what the hotel offers and the surrounding area
  • To build a good rapport with all guests and resolve any complaints/issues quickly to
  • maintain high quality customer service.
  • To deal with guest requests to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay
  • To undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and switchboard, to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
  • To administer all routes of reservations to ensure that room bookings are made and recorded accurately.
  • To ensure that all reservations and cancellations are processed efficiently

 

Required Skills

  • Outstanding communication and listening skills, in addition to basic computer knowledge

Education and Experience Requirements

Previous experience working in a 4 star hotel.
Must have minimum GCSE, BTEC or Equivalent.
Good written and spoken English

  • Level 1 Certificate in General Hospitality
  • Level 1 Award in Introduction to Employment in the Hospitality Industry
  • Level 1 Award in Introduction to the Hospitality Industry
  • Level 2 Award in the Principles of Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing the guests with a high level of customer service.
  • Organising bookings, table plans
  • Assisting the events team with large events
  • Liasing with Head Chef with large bookings and cake requests

  • Liasing with Restaurant Managing in regards to bookings and up coming events

With 4* star rating and a restaurant with 2 AA Rosettes, we are looking for experienced individuals who have been in the hospitality industry. You as an individual will have good knowledge of food, wine and customer care. Giving every customer a fantastic experience, from start to finish.

Bar Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing the guests with a high level of customer service.
  • maintaining high levels of cleanliness
  • Great guests and make them feel comfortable.
  • Learn menu items and be able to describe them appropriately to guests.
  • Take beverage and food orders.
  • Deliver beverages and food in a timely manner.

Responsibilities: Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Requirements: Basic bartending experience needed, cocktail mixing experience preferred but not essential as Full training will be given
