Events Coordintor

Our events team are looking for a friendly and welcoming, organised and efficient, empathetic individual with good computer skills and excellent telephone manner. Team players who are calm under pressure and have previous hospitality experience, ideally with a proven track record in event planning and events operations experience.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Understand requirements for each event
    • Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
    • Research vendors (cakes, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
    • Liaise directly with suppliers
    • Client venue show rounds, ad hoc meetings with clients
    • Nurture and build relationships, implement creative and logistical aspects of all events
    • Hand over all event details for operations & kitchen to run the event successfully
    • Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, layouts, decor) to ensure everything meets standards
    • Look ahead at ways to increase revenue during quieter times, look at what competitors are doing continuously
    • Resolving problems & guest enquiries before & during the event
    • Evaluate event’s success & issue invoices
    • Create and follow-up sales leads for future events.
    • Help out in the office answering phones, taking room and restaurant reservations

    *pay rates based on full time hours

Finance Assistant

The successful candidate would be responsible for the accounts for this thriving Company. They would be assistant to the Finance Manager in day-to-day tasks, with opportunities for training and further progression.

The roles of the new staff member would be:

    • Processing purchase invoices
    • Payment Runs
    • Bank Reconciliation
    • Processing expenses and credit card statements.
    • Credit Control
    • Statement reconciliation
    • Vat Returns
    • Managing Petty Cash
    • Liaising with the external financial accountant

    Potential future responsibilities:

    • Payroll tasks.
    • Management accounts

    Experience/Qualifications:

    Full/Part AAT qualified. Alternatively, candidates who can demonstrate qualification through relevant experience would be seriously considered.

    Confident in Microsoft Excel , experience in xero, hubdoc would be an advantage

    Attention to detail is essential.

    • Monday to Friday. Flexible home working may be considered after a successful probationary period
