    Mudeford Quay

Just down the road from Captain’s Club Hotel & Spa, Mudeford Quay is a beautiful spot for four-legged friends and their humans. Dog-friendly along the whole stretch (dogs need to be kept on a lead), there’s plenty of space for you both to stretch your legs, admire beautiful views, and soak up some sun.

It’s also a great spot for families – you’ll find locally made ice cream and some fantastic crabbing spots.

    Swanage Railway

This 12 mile return trip takes you through beautiful dorset countryside, abundant in gorgeous wildlife and beautiful landscapes. On top of all this, Swanage Railway gives passengers the chance to learn about historic steam locomotives in an area that inspired the likes of Enid Blyton and Thomas Hardy.

Dogs are welcome (on-lead) throughout the journey, except in the buffet and dining carriages and the station shop, for just £1 each way per pup.

    Hengistbury Head

Full of exciting activities including a land train, guided walking tours, a beautiful beach, and a delightful dog-friendly cafe, this is a fantastic place to spend a relaxing afternoon with your best friend in tow. Best of all, it’s right on our doorstep!

    New Forest National Park

No holiday in Christchurch with your dog would be complete without a visit to New Forest National Park. Less than 5 minutes from Captain’s Club in the car, this absolutely stunning landscape is right on our doorstep.

Full of enchanting woodland, beautiful lakes, adorable critters, and extensive wildlife, this picture-perfect National Trust park is dog-friendly all year round and a hugely popular destination for long walks, whatever the weather.

Corfe Castle Model Village & Tea Rooms

Open each day from 10am – 4pm, this delightful attraction offers your and your pup the chance to feel like giants. With lawn games, interactive exhibitions, and a tea room in a 17th century courtyard, it’s a fun, relaxing day out. The tea rooms offer a wide range of food, from full English breakfasts and soups to afternoon teas and sweet treats.

    Dog-friendly Suites at Captain’s Club

Bring your pooch to meet Willow, our friendly hotel dog, and then relax together as a family in our luxury dog-friendly suites overlooking the River Stour. We’ll treat your pup to their own dog bed and even supply some little treats. We have also created a dog’s dinner menu.

For more information about our dog policy or dog walks in the local area, please give us a call on 01202 475111 and speak to our reception team.
