RIB SENSATION
Adventure Voyages offers you a memorable fast boat excursions in our purpose built 9 metre/30 foot Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) and our trips are suitable for families
We offer the following guided marine Adventure Voyages:
BAY BLAST. Enjoy a thrilling and exhilarating 20 minute "Blast around the Bay". Travelling at speeds of 30 knots (35 mph) for about 5 nautical miles. Minimum 4 persons, minimum age 2 years.
Yarmouth, Isle of Wight. Travel at speeds of 30 knots (35mph) along the South coast of Dorset then Hampshire and into the Solent. Visit the picturesque fishing village of Yarmouth for a look around, or lunch or for a bus tour to the Needles Lighthouse. Price depends on how long you have ashore in Yarmouth. Minimum 4 persons, minimum age 6 years.
NEEDLES LIGHTHOUSE. SOUTHBOUND TOUR. Operates daily, duration about 1 ¼ hours. About 20 nautical miles round trip to the Needles Lighthouse, sight of shipwrecks, inaccessible cliffs for bird watchers, smugglers caves and the coloured sands of Alum Bay. Minimum 6 persons, minimum age 6 years.
POOLE: BROWNSEA ISLAND, SANDBANKS and views of OLD HARRY ROCKS. Enjoy fast boat ride (Min 6 persons) along the coast westwards, passing Boscombe then Bournemouth Piers and close by “Millionaires Row” at Sandbanks as seen on TV (see where the other half live). From there we pass close to Brownsea Island and Castle in Poole Harbour. On the way home admire panoramic views of OLD Harry Rocks, which is part of the Jurassic coast World Heritage Site. Minimum age 6 years.
COWES ISLE OF WIGHT. EASTBOUND TOUR. Two and a half hours duration. About a 42 nautical miles. Operates by prior arrangement. This trip takes you at speed through The Solent passing the sailing centres of Yarmouth and Lymington, and on to Cowes. We will transit the Medina River to watch the moored yachts. Minimum 6 persons, minimum age 6 years.
RED ARROWS. Cruise to Bournemouth Pier to watch the Red Arrows perform in the BOURNEMOUTH AIR FESTIVAL. This really is a fantastic display. You will have an unobstructed view of the Red Arrows virtually overhead and the noise is something else. Timings are not known until May/June.
CAUTION: Will lead to bad hair day.
Christchurch Yachting
Captains Club Hotel breaks including Yachting course
Hotel stay and yachting course. This 2-day course is for beginners and those who would like to learn basic seamanship. The course provides a short introduction to sail cruising for novices. By the end of the course, participants will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and be aware of safety on board.
Itinerary:
Friday – Arrive at the Captains Club Hotel and relax overnight stay in one of our luxury staterooms, indulge in a 3 course dinner in our award wining Tides Restaurant
Saturday – Enjoy a delicious breakfast and then head off to spend 2 days and a night aboard the yacht.
