CRISP AND CONTEMPORARY NEW 4STAR PLUS HOTEL OPENS IN CHRISTCHURCH, DORSET
The Captains Club Hotel, a brand new 4star
plus 29 room
property, opens its doors
on the 11th November 2006, in the idyllic, priory town of Christchurch. Located on the
banks of the picturesque River Stour, this privately owned, independently run hotel
will boast a full service restaurant, spa and a unique hotel chartered motor yacht.
Accommodation: Rooms with a view
The £8 million property, the first by Platinum One Hotels, complements its locale,
blending a contemporary maritime theme with cutting edge

service and a light and airy design. Its 29 rooms are split between 17 state bedrooms
and 12 two or three room apartments which, inspired by the New York trend, are
available for rental or sale. Every room has a stunning riverside view, air conditioning,
flat screen TV, DVD player and free high speed wireless broadband internet access.
Location: Messing about on the river
The hotel is truly unique for the area, and has been designed to offer guests a new
way to experience this undiscovered part of Christchurch. The expansive and airy
riverside public areas and prow-shaped
bar are expected to become a new social hub
for guests and locals alike. ‘Nauti Gal’, the hotel’s fully crewed 34ft Fairline motor
yacht can cater for up to 8 people. Stationed on one of the property’s six moorings, it
will provide an enticing touring option for guests.
Food: A taste of Dorset
The Tides Restaurant takes pride of place at the Captain’s Club Hotel. Head Chef,
Andrew Gault, comes to Christchurch from the 7star
Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai,
where he had spent 3 years as Sous Chef. Andrew has an inspired past, having
worked with the likes of Gary Rhodes, Ken Hom and Jean Christophe Novelli. He
prides himself in sourcing the highest quality ingredients and is committed to
providing an innovative, wholesome menu sourced from local ingredients whenever
possible.
Spa: Rejuvenate
Pamper, recharge or unwind in style in the Captains Club Spa. A stateoftheart
hydrotherapy pool and sauna plus a luxurious and expansive range of advanced
marine active, professional treatments offer a new standard for thassalotherapy on
the South Coast.
Complementing their situation and commitment to quality the hotel and spa have
formed a strategic partnership with Phytomer products. Guests can enjoy one of their
firming; refining or moisturising body wraps or simply unwind in the flotation tank.
Men can also experience tailored head to toe experiences, incorporating luxury facial
