Christchurch is a beautiful historic town, with Bournemouth, Poole and the New Forest only a short drive away.
The region is fabulous for exploring the great outdoors whether walking or cycling* the coastline or forests, taking a river boat trip, trying out sports including windsurfing, kite surfing, canoeing, horse riding, golf or fishing, or simply enjoying some of the best beaches the UK has to offer.

You need only take a short stroll from our hotel to reach Christchurch Quay and the 'Quomps', a grassy area with a children's park that is often the venue for family fun days and also hosts the annual 'Stomping on the Quomps' music festival.
Christchurch centre is filled with a wide choice of restaurants, cafes and shops and plays host to a weekly Farmers Market. The Christchurch Food Festival is a week long extravaganza each May that's a must see (or should we say must taste?!) for any food lover. The town is also steeped in history from it's Grade 2 listed Place Mill dating from 1100AD to the Victorian bandstand, Red House Museum, Christchurch Priory Church that has been welcoming worshippers for over 900 years and the ruins of Christchurch castle, a Norman Motte and Bailey castle.
There are so many attractions close at hand you'll never get bored; families may enjoy a visit to the Adventure Wonderland theme park or Snowtrax dry ski slope and Peppa Pig WorldPeppa Pig World a short trip away at Paulton’s Park. Discover local history with a trip to Mudeford Quay where smuggling was rife, or a visit to the opulent Highcliffe Castle built in the 1830s. Animal lovers can visit Bournemouth Oceanarium and discover the wildlife on the coastline and in the New Forest. The New Forest County Show each summer is a great day out, full of farm animals, traditional rural crafts and entertainment.
Bournemouth offers sophisticated shopping and live entertainment at the BIC and Pavilion theatres. There is a pier, winter gardens and plenty of seaside attractions – you can even get a bird's eye view of the whole area with a trip up in the Bournemouth balloon. The annual Bournemouth Air Show is the biggest in the UK, an impressive spectacle of aerial displays best viewed from the clifftops and beaches.
A little further down the coast is Poole, home to Sandbanks where the rich and famous occupy premium properties boasting views over Poole Harbour and the award winning beaches. Well worth a visit for a day on the sand and a drive around to see some of the most expensive property in the world!
